Context

Ugandan farmers lose 30–50% of harvests annually due to poor post-harvest practices. Traditional drying methods reduce nutritional value and increase contamination risks. Limited infrastructure, farmer training, and food safety systems hinder competitiveness in regional markets. Addressing these challenges will improve food security, incomes, and market access.
